Abhinav Das co-founded Orangewood Labs in 2017 with Aditya Bhatia and Akash Bansal, after the three ran a furniture business and found manual finishing work like painting and sanding too slow and costly to staff. The company builds AI powered robotic arms, controlled through its RoboGPT software, that small and mid size manufacturers can program in plain English. Before Orangewood, Das worked on trucks built for rural markets. Orangewood went through Y Combinator's Winter 2018 batch and runs an engineering office in Noida, India, alongside its San Francisco headquarters.
