Dan Hunter is CEO of Nyquis, which he is building at South Park Commons, where he is a fellow. Nyquis installs AI-powered grid fault detection at utility substations, capturing voltage and current waveforms to catch the high-impedance faults, such as vegetation contact and downed lines, that precede wildfire ignitions, and alerts operators in real time. He previously co-founded Yoshi Mobility, a Y Combinator company backed by ExxonMobil, GM Ventures, and Bridgestone, and served as its chief product officer for EV charging. He holds an MBA and degrees in biology and chemistry from Humboldt State University.
