Jagdeep Singh has taken frontier technology into three industries that hate risk. He co-founded Infinera, sold optical networking to telecom carriers, took it public, and saw Nokia acquire it in a $2.3B deal. He co-founded QuantumScape, sold solid-state batteries to automakers, and took it public. Rhoda, his third, came out of stealth in March with a $450M Series A led by Premji Invest with Khosla, Mayfield, and VSC Ventures. Its robots learn from internet video and pick up a new task from 10 to 20 hours of robot data, and they are already moving from pilots into production inside live factories.
