Michael Gold is managing partner at Depth Map Ventures, a pre-seed fund backing research-led teams building the software infrastructure layer for physical AI. He spent four years as a venture partner at Red Beard Ventures, focused on early-stage spatial computing and AI deals, and has taught generative art and VR development at NYU since 2020. He is a repeat founder who built and sold ventures in generative 3D tooling, augmented reality, and social networking. He holds degrees in computer science and computing entrepreneurship from Farmingdale State College and NYU.
