Rishi Taparia is co-founder and General Partner of Garuda Ventures, a pre-seed and seed fund investing in critical software and industrial technology, with early checks into Mind Robotics, Foundry Robotics, and Mytra. He sourced Matrix Partners' seed investment in Canva in 2012 and was Poynt's first non-technical hire, helping the payments company grow to more than 130,000 merchants before its acquisition by GoDaddy. He also held strategy and operations roles at Legion Technologies and Scale Venture Partners, and teaches as faculty at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
