Ted Xiao is a founding member of technical staff at Prometheus, the physical AI company co-founded by Jeff Bezos and Vik Bajaj. He works on AI systems that learn physical and industrial tasks. Before joining Prometheus in November 2025, he spent eight years at Google DeepMind, most recently as a staff research scientist and tech lead on the Gemini Robotics team, working on vision-language-action models for robot control. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering and computer sciences from UC Berkeley, where he founded Machine Learning at Berkeley.
