Thomas Tang is founder and CEO of Anyware Robotics, a Fremont, California startup founded in January 2023 that builds Pixmo, a mobile manipulator robot for unloading shipping containers and trailers in warehouses. Before starting the company, he was a founding member of FANUC's Silicon Valley research center, where he led the AI palletization product from development through commercialization. Tang holds a PhD from UC Berkeley focused on robotic manipulation, 3D perception, force control, and human-robot interaction, holds 14 robotics patents, and has co-authored a book on human-robot collaboration.
