William Layden is co-founder and CEO of Rune Energy, a Mountain View company that builds direct current data centers designed to run on surplus solar and wind power at the source. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree from New York University. Before Rune he worked on strategy and investments at SB Energy, was chief of staff at the hydropower firm Cube Hydro Partners, and worked in the Obama White House as a legislative assistant and special assistant to the chief of staff.
